Mr. Alexey Desyatkin, CEO of Zarubezhgeologiya JSC, visited Cotonou from April 24 to May 1, 2021 and held negotiations with Bureau of Mining and Geological Research of the Republic of Benin (Office Béninois de Recherches Géologiques et Minières, OBRGM) as part of the contract implementation for conducting reconnaissance work for gold and facing stone, aerogeophysical survey and audit of the petrographic and geochemical laboratory.
During the visit several technical meetings were held with the management of OBRGM resulted in joint agreements on possible implementing the stages of the contract for reconnaissance work on facing stone and an audit of the laboratory in the near future. The departure of specialists of Zarubezhgeologiya JSC to Benin is planned in May 2021.
On April 29, Mr. Alexey Desyatkin held a meeting with H.E. Minister of Water Management and Mining of the Republic of Benin Mr. Samu Seyidou Adambi. They discussed the agreements reached with the management of OBRGM, the terms of the work implementation under the contract and potential joint projects in the territory of the Republic of Benin. H.E. Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Benin and the Togolese Republic (concurrently) Mr. I.D. Evdokimov has also attended the meeting.
