Zarubezhgeologia JSC have completed the field stage of engineering and geological studies at the tailing dump of the Erdenet Mining and Processing Plant in Mongolia, which began in 2020.
Based on the results of the work, on August 23, 2021, a joint meeting was held. Russian specialists presented the methodology and technology of work, the application of which made it possible to obtain new data on the technical condition of the tailing dump. The scope of field works successfully performed by Russian specialists included: geological support for well drilling, selection of monoliths, seismic micro-profiling, magnetic prospecting. As a result of the work fundamentally new data on the state of the tailings site were obtained.
There is no doubt to believe that the obtained results will find its application in further development and planning activities of. The Mongolian side highly appreciated the fact that despite the restrictions imposed in Mongolia due to the spread of the coronavirus infection COVID-19, the work was organized and completed on time.
