Research and development conference “Russia – Mongolia: strategic partnership in mining industry. Half a century anniversary of Mongolrostsvetmet: yesterday, today, tomorrow” took place in Mongolia, Ulaanbaatar on February 27, 2024.
The event was initiated by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Mongolia, supported by the Trade mission of the Russian Federation, Rossotrudnichestvo Representation, the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry of Mongolia, Mongolrostsvetmet SOE and hosted by the Russian House in Ulaanbaatar.
Russian Federation was represented by Scientific and Production Association RIVS, JSC, Zarubezhgeologia, JSC, HaloPolymer, JSC, En+ Group, PJSC, Irkutsk National Research Technical University (INRTU), East Siberia State University of Technology and Management (ESSUTM) and Russian business community in Mongolia.
Participants from the Mongolian side were: the first President of Mongolia P. Ochirbat, Deputy Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry of Mongolia B. Uyanga, Chairman of the copper sub-committee of the National Industrial Committee, Chairman of the Mongolian part of the Russian-Mongolian Business Council H. Badamsuren, as well as representatives of 15 public and private economic entities.
During panel discussion the participants considered topical questions regarding Mongolrostsvetmet SOE development.
Zarubezhgeologia, JSC presented its key expertise in geology and made specific suggestions regarding diversification of the list of extracted raw materials and intensification of geological prospecting works, as well application of the advanced minerals prospecting methods including in particular unmanned technologies, computer technologies of data analysis, precision methods of the substance composition analysis enabling to reduce the field work completion time multiply.
The conference was completed by a business session during which the appointments between the representatives of the Russian and Mongolian enterprises were held.
